Looking forward to it, recently upgraded to a 4K TV and love the HDR stuff(you really need to calibrate it well though, the quality is obviously dependant on your TV and the game), so I'm already very impressed with the X1S....the Scorpio will be overkill the way I see it....in a good way, hopefully. Yes I'm interested in new games, but I really want a beefy upgrade to existing favorites like Horizon 3 and Gears 4, and hopefully Halo 5 as well. Those games have been consistently adding content since release and I still regularly play them.

Trying not to get my expectations up too high, but with all the recent talk about the PS4 Pro and just how good the X1S already looks on my TV, I'm quite stoked for the Scorpio now......I just hope they don't have stock issues like they did with the Elite controller at first.

Anyone speculating on the name of the console yet? Since MS is insists that Scorpio is still an XB1, I'm going to go ahead and guess the name will be XBOX ONE ELITE. Comes packed with an Elite controller.

@Alucard_Prime: What TV did you buy and how do you like it? Able to share specs like input lag and such? I'll be in the market for a 4K tv real soon.

@sinseers: Only speculation I have heard is that they will drop the surname and simply call it Xbox. Plain and simple, this is the new Xbox.

@suicidesn0wman: I'm not the one who you asked but I figured I'd chime in. I have this model and love it....

@suicidesn0wman: Samsung KS8000, with game mode it goes down to around 21-22 ms input lag I believe, one of the best in terms of that. Took a lot of research and calibrating to get the perfect image for HDR and to choose the right TV because I wanted something a little bit future proof and that model was one of the best mid-range TVs.

You could easily look up the specs for that, sorry a bit pressed for time now....but I can tell you if you can spend more and want something higher end, you may want to look into the OLED LG TVs but they are quite expensive. Sony has some great sets too at around 1-2k price and higher. Depends also what you want to use your TV for, myself it is primarily for gaming but I also watch a lot of movies and TV shows on it.

So I'm quite happy with it, once properly calibrated it looks spectacular, especially Forza Horizon 3, wasn't expecting such vivid details & colors to emerge. Recently got Planet Earth 2 on 4K BR, holy moly.....Anyways, good luck with your search, I highly recommend the AVSForums, they are an amazing source of information for TV calibrations and impressions. Definitely take your time to do proper research because the HDR tech is quite new and I spent weeks trying to figure everything out, was quite the pain to be honest but at the end of the day it was worth it for me.

@hondalover66: Not a huge fan of curved screens, but it definitely hits the specs I'm looking for, might have to change my thinking.

Looked up the stats on this thing, input lag is pretty damn good.

1080p @ 60Hz : 23.1 ms
1080p With Interpolation : 130.4 ms
1080p @ 60Hz Outside Game Mode : 123.2 ms
1080p @ 60Hz @ 4:4:4 : 39.5 ms
4k @ 60Hz : 19.2 ms
4k @ 60Hz @ 4:4:4 : 33.4 ms
4k @ 60Hz + HDR : 19.2 ms
4k @ 60Hz @ 4:4:4 + HDR : 33.2 ms

4k hdr under 20ms? That's pretty good right?

55" for $1100 right now. Or I can go for the KS9000(flat)/KS9500(curved) which appear to also be sub 20ms 4kHDR for around $1500 for 55". That's nice.

@Alucard_Prime: Yeah, I've had my eyes on the Samsung KS 8 & 9 series tvs, you and honda basically confirmed for me that I was on the right path.

I figured I'd try the curved one and am happy. I probably don't have it calibrated correctly but it looks good to me. Alucard and I have the same TV just curved vs flat. I got mine from BB for 1999.00 about 6 months ago. Normally it was 3K. Maybe someone smarter than me can tell me the correct calibration settings. Lol

@hondalover66: A lot of it has to do with preference, so I cannot help you there...thing is maybe you could get it looking better than it already is. I could tell you my TV didn't look that great when I first turned it on with an HDR game. I found most of the info I needed here:

http://www.avsforum.com/forum/166-lcd-flat-panel-displays/2387466-official-samsung-ks8000-ks8500-owners-thread.html

& here:

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1308315

@suicidesn0wman: The only minor issue with my TV is that whenever I need to play a game with HDR, I have to use the remote to switch to game mode. When you start an HDR game, the TV will automatically give you a message telling you it switched to HDR mode. I have calibrated for gaming under Game mode so it remembers the settings. But then when I want to play a non-HDR game, it looks too bright(because HDR looks best with maximum Backlight setting, medium brightness) because while in game mode, the TV will keep the settings you have for HDR even if you play non-HDR stuff....so because of this I have to use the remote to switch off game mode whenever I play non-HDR stuff(and vice versa) and then it will go back to regular non-HDR calibration that I had previously set.

Other TVs do not require you to manually change like this, some people do not like that about the KS8000 but for me it's not an issue because I see it as a little compromise to get that lightning fast response time, and some people are saying a future firmware might fix that, but there is no guarantee of anything.

I just don't want people to make decisions based on stuff I say here because these TVs are expensive, definitely do your own research and good luck. At the end of the day I would just recommend you go through something like the AVS forum and see what people are saying regarding your TV of choice with respect to gaming. I am by no means an expert, I did a lot trial and error with settings and read a lot of material and just found the settings that look best for me.

Great news, quoted from Gamespot:

According to Eurogamer--which received official information from Microsoft--Project Scorpio is 100% compatible with all Xbox One games as well as Xbox 360 titles that are supported by Microsoft's backwards compatibility program. On Project Scorpio, these games will be "smoother, look better, and load faster."

The PlayStation 4 Pro features more powerful versions of the original PS4 hardware, allowing it to essentially function as a standard PS4 for emulation purposes. On the other hand, Project Scorpio is a radical hardware overhaul, and so cannot take this approach. The new hardware configuration allows its full horsepower to be used when running existing games.

This means Xbox One games that aren't able to sustain their frame rates on that console have "a really good chance of doing so on Scorpio." However, it is noted that games that are designed to run at 30 FPS won't just start running at 60 FPS, as it is the software itself that decides the target. Scorpio doesn't have the capability of unlocking a cap.

Well, I ain't getting one. Will keep on playing in the old one ( got the X1S but it's only for display purposes since it's the GOW4 edition ) until it hits the dirt.
