with rpgs or puzzle-oriented adventure games, if it's 3am and i'm stuck, rather than keep playing, i'll switch it off, go to bed and think about the puzzle in my head and how to figure it out, and depending on the game, if i get an idea or if i think of something i haven't tried yet, i'll get up, turn it back on and try it. this works better cause ur relaxed and u can think outside the square easier.

with first person shooters, i'll be in bed trying to sleep after a long night of playing, andthe game will just replay in my head in the form of a first person view zipping through the level as if its on auto pilot. it produces a feeling very similar to free-falling.

I used to play Battlefield 2 a lot and one time when my mom was waking me up for school and I remember what I said. She started waking me up and I said back to her in a daze. "Go away, I am planting Land Mines!" And then I woke up.

I remember this happening in F.E.A.R. Like I would be done playing the game and then my sister would come blasting music and I jumped saying something lol. I remember dreaming about the campus level where the NPC with the missiles dropped from the helicopter and I actually devised a strategy on how to beat the monster. Next day it actually worked.

Yep, happens to me all the time, especially with any game played from a 1st person perspective. I won't play any games for at least an hour before I hit the sheets, because I'll see whatever I was playing when I close my eyes. Drives me nuts. Even better, when I tell my friends about it, they look at me like I AM nuts. Not that they're wrong, but all the same . . .

happened to me all the time when i gamed regularly, though i do have insomnia now and i don't game as much so i don't see this as being an issue but back when i first got my 360, i think it was one day i marathoned halo 2 and every time i closed my eyes i would see master chief moving around the snow or the dirt and i'd see people shooting at me and though i wasn't holding a controller or anything my brain was still reacting to it, i kept thinking straif left, jump, duck, melee...then it never happened again, but if i play a game enough and it's engaging enough, i'm sure the experience will repeat itself....

I didn't dream about it, but GH II imprinted itself onto my corneas. Watching the television closely for hours on end while playing GH II made me dizzy when I looked away. So, yeah, I saw the game in my head.

I had dreams about being in Rapture every night untill I finished Bioshock. Ofcourse the fact that I only played it at night and it was the last thingI did before going to bed three nights in a row helped with that:P
