Everyone universally agrees, Gears of war 2 is AMAZING!

As all of you probably know by now, Epic showed off the first act of Gears of War 2 to the editors of almost every video games site or magazine. I've read like four or five different articles on the preview and everyone seems to agree that Gears of War 2 blew them away. This is really re-assuring that GoW won't be a bust. I'm actually considering upgrading my pre-order to collectors edition after reading everyone rave about how uch great fun GoW 2 is.

I Must admit this game looks pro, and i cant wait for it :P

but the game i am most hyped about is fable 2, because its a RPG and i love RPG's :O

while i see the game as a success i don't need another shooter in my library(which is limited due to store issues)...

it seems right on track to improve upon the original, but does it really stand out that much over other fps-s to be worth it?

yes, because, well, it's not a first-person shooter. It's third-person.

i was really excited for far cry 2 but after seeing the infamous 32 second multiplayer vid i cant say im that stoked anymore.

ON the other hand im slowly growing to love the new cod and mirrors edge and i genuinely cant tell which will be better

A boring/revamped game when they see one.

I don't like when people hype up games. Just leaves more room for disapointment. Wait for the game to come out & see for yourself. It's just a way of marketing their games. I like actual playing games than spending my time on the net waiting for previews of games that hasn't been out yet.4dry4n

Who would you rather fight then. Some secret corporation? Germans? Terrorists? Zombies? The Mob? Every thing has been done before. But Gears of War aliens are the defenders, it's their home the humans colonized. Locusts rock!

I'm sorry I didn't read everyone elses posts but how can a preview of a game that magazines show not define if a games a bust.

Case in point Starwars Unleashed. (I personally don't think this game is a bust but they do) All the magazines were talking about how amazing this game was then they rated the game at a 7 go figure.

Because Gears of War 1 was already an amazing game, so the sequel already has a huge fanbase who will buy and love the game. It's not some new game trying to draw attention. It's a known formula. And what they are adding isn't changing the game, only making what we already love 10 times better.

Ehh, First one made a great first impression on me, but the glitched multiplayer drove me insane, i quit the online play after like 3-4 weeks. The story never really grabbed my attention either. But im sure it will please its fans. Still, Im not really excited for this, Resistance 2 will be my only shooter this holiday season.

I personally love gears of war multiplayer i think it's insanely addicting and fun

yes because 5 positive previews means that everyone on the planet and all sentient live that we don't know about agrees that Gears 2 is amazing. I'd love to see that happen, everyone universally agreeing on something, much less a video game. I'm not hating on gears 2, just saying that, not everyone thinks it's amazing. I don't think it's amazing, great yes, but not amazing.

looks great but if the online is as crap as gears 1, ill rent for the campaign.

30 mins I could not connect. $#!@$%....

P.S. I have a great connection. Full bars in CoD4 all the time. My connection is not the problem
