    hey i would like 2 know somethiing dat can we connect an external hard disk to da usb ports of Xbox 360????

The USB port is only for the 360 Network Adapter..I believe..nothing else will get recognized or used..

There is a add on which you place between x360 and HDD. It allows you to transfer files from x360 to an external HDD. But it works only in this direction. You won't be able to transfer anything from PC to x360.

My 360 recognises my memory stick and it plays the songs that are on it aswell.

yeah but i don't think it will recognize it as a storage device. when i plug my flash drive in, it just reads the media on it.

Umm... wrong? The controllers can be used in any of the USB slots, as can any other 360-compatible device.
