External hard drives, get me

If you can use a external hard drive on an xbox 360 then is there any point buying the ripp off version that Xbox sells you (thats if your a core customer)

 

When i say external hard drives i mean by the ones where you attack via usb get me?

From what I have seen, you can't use a none 360 hard-drive.

It would be nice if you could though.
