Fable 2 cant move into house

so i bought a house in bowerstone and i decided to rent it out, i have a wife and kid and i decided to try to move into it so she'll be more happy but it wont let me my only options are re-decorate adjust fees and evict tenant, what am i doing wrong?

Evict the tennant first. Then move in.

Another way of making your wife happy: Set the budget really high. Like 300-500. She'll love you!
