Fable 2, it should be a long game and worth the price tag. Rock Band 2 is also worth buying, especially if you already have the first one and can add the old songs. its good to have for parties as well.
Far Cry 2, Gears 2, etc seem more like rentals to me. Unless you gonna be playing alot of multiplayer, those are going to be short games.
Regardless I will be renting all of these first through Gamefly and only buying them if they are worth it. I rented Star Wars Unleashed recently and while it was fun, its not worth $45(gamefly keep it price), so I will be sending it back. The game isnt as polished as it should be, I might buy it later when the resale price is around $20 and they patch some issues.
The game I look forward to the most is Fallout 3, been waiting 10 years for new Fallout.
