Hello. I just beat Fable 2 for a second time so that I can get money to buy Fairfax Castle. I eventually did. I was married so I moved my wife and 9 year old daughter into the castle. I know that there is a quest where you must rescue your daughter from the Hob Cave but I can't seem to find my wife! I've searched everywhere high and low and yet there is NO sight of her. I've checked the dining hall, the studies room, the castle library, my bedroom, the kitchen, the throne room, the Fairfax Tomb, and I've even checked down near the demon door. And of course I've looked ALL over the garden. She is no where in sight. Thinking it was an obvious answer, I put the quest to save my daughter as a primary quest which says to find my wife. I used the glowing trail while I was in Bowerstone Market and it lead me straight to Fairfax Gardens. I entered the gardens and the trail was gone. The same thing happened when I put my family member (wife) on tracking. And then I tried Oakfield which is where she is from and where I met her. I checked all of our old houses and the towns that they were in. Still nothing. I even went straight to the cave in which my daughter gets captured in. It won't even let me enter. Any ideas to where i should look?

I'm gonna guess the milkman is the culprit.

Something similar happened to me. I got the Demon Door Cottage and moved my family in there. But then I needed to do another demon door opening quest, so I brought my wife out there. When I walked into that demon door, finished exploring, and then teleported out back to the main city, I forgot that I'd left my wife out by that door on the other side. After that I could never find her again: not by the door or anywhere in that territory, and not back at the house either.

It's a bug with the game, I've heard a few other people mention losing their wives as well. Just marry someone else -- that way you'll get that polygamy achievement, so there's no real downside to it.
