Yeah the main quest is pretty short. I finished the game in about 25 hours, but that's because I stretched it for as long as I could bare. I could probably truck through the game in under 10 hours.
I just finished the game being good the whole time, so now I'm going to start over and be evil
Yea, the game itself along the main story line was definitely way too short, luckily not as short as Fable, but still too short. I think even if you were to do EVERY single thing possibly in the game, I can not imagine it taking any longer than 25-30 hours, and that is pushing it. I myself completed the entire game, all side quests, own all of Albion, have 1000 gamerscore, and it took me less than 20 hours. I know there is technically more I could do in the game, but nothing that is going to keep my interest.
So if you ask me, unless they bring out some DLC for this game (which I would imagine they will), the game was definitely another dissapointment in what I think Fable really could be. Also if you ask me, Peter Molyneux spent so much time trying to make this game longer than Fable (as I recall, that was the main complaint) that he did not take all the time he could in developing the story and the characters. It kinda just felt like you were rushed through the main story line, and there was no real development in anyone, which was really lame. Just completely felt like the story was lacking.
Fable 2 really, really disappointed me. I felt as though I had just started the game when it ended. Sure, there's other quest to do after the final boss, but what for? Fable 2 is probably the most disappointing game of the year for me. Story was bad. Spell selection bad. And lots of other things were bad.
However, I still had fun.
