Fable 3 - Community Service Debt Question

I went and starter killing townspeople in Fable 3, long story short now I'm like 4,000 gold in debt through community service. I could be sitting here for like an hour doing this little community service game and I was just wondering if there's a quicker way to do it?

Okay. So is that how it is throughout the whole game whenever you go into a town and start killing people?

I played Fable 2 but I don't remember how it was with that. I was going on a spree killing guards and they just kept coming. Eventually I figured I would never be able to beat them all cuz they kept coming so I just decided to accept the community service---the community service fine was like 4,000 gold and with that dough-rolling job it's taking foreverrrrrrr.
