Fable II Pub Games Exploit - Any Consequences?

So, there was this huge exploit than ran rampant all around XBL and everyone started crapping gold.

Then, it turns out that the glitch was "intentional" and that anyone who did it would suffer consequences in the actual game. It started look sketchy when they updated it and since then, it's become unheard of.

So, what I'm asking is if any of you have noticed any punishment in the game after importing gold from a glitched game?

I was just going to post a topic like this, but I see you already did it.

So needless to say, I'm wondering the same thing.

Why in the h3ll would you use the cheat in the first place? That makes the Fable 2 experience so boring when you can easily start the game by getting everything right from the start. I can see if Fable 2 was unfair and really difficult like Ninja Gaiden 2 was for me. Thats why i finally got rid of that lame game and got Fable 2. Its enjoyable, and I don't have to cheat. Earning Gold the hard way makes it more fun, and the game will last a long time if you play through it without cheating with pub games. I remember I couldn't buy anything in the first fable. But it took me 1 year just to get everything, thats how I want this one to last. Hopefully even longer. So I wouldn't know what the consequences are, even after I finish the game I don't intend to use the pub cheat, not ever. Unless I'm bored to the point where Fable 2 is no longer any fun like the Sims 2. I use the money cheat in that game all the time to become easily rich.Castlevania1986

Yeah I haven't played the game yet (released on the 24th in UK) but from what I can tell it isn't difficult, which to be honest is my biggest disappointment with it from the reviews. I wanted a game where you needed to do that bit more combat to be able to get passed the next part of the story and so that it was pretty impossible to rush. I think though asking for a hardcore RPG after the softcore RPG of fable which sold so well isn't really fair. I'm only going to merge my pubgamer with my hero if i feel it will make it more fun, which will probably be at the end to help me buy everything up and get achievements

From the reviews it doesn't sound like getting money in game is much of a problem, and I've not read of any consequences for people that exploited the pub games glitch.

Sounds about right. I still wouldn't of cheated though. Like Castlevana1986 said, it'd make the game no fun.

But I still would of loved to see a consequence in the game for merging your player. That would have been genius, and quite hilarious.

"Intentional Glitch" I love it. Yea, because he said Rags to Riches about 5 million times...that would kind of kill the purpose if you could start the game with millions of gold...Oh well, that's what he gets for getting greedy with DLC.
