fable pre order problems (could affect everyone)

just got this email. dunno if it affects US people but it deffo concerns UK people.

Dear Customer,

We have just been informed by Microsoft this afternoon that there is a significant supply chain issue regarding the contents of the Fable II Limited Edition. This affects the entire market.

They have advised us that neither the figurine nor the fate cards are going to be available. Which is incredibly frustrating!

However the Limited Edition WILL still come with a bonus disk with all Lionhead developer diaries, concept art viewer, music from soundtrack and new behind the scenes making of video footage, as well as bonus in-game content.

We have lowered the price of the limited edition to £39.99 to reflect the altered contents. I do hope this goes some way to alleviating your disappointment.

day of release, everyone whos preordered gets an email telling them its all a lie and fable 2 doesnt exist!

Well this is bothersome... I've already put down money on a pre-order for the Fable II: Limited Edition. I am mainly looking forward to the bonus downloadable content, but the figurine sure would have been cool. Well I guess a $10 drop is good enough.

I just went on Gamestop's site and they don't even have the Limited Edition in their catalogue. Last time I checked they did have the Limited Edition on there. What could that mean?

It's the same for us in north America aswell. Doesn't really matter to me though, didn't care much about anything aside from the ingame stuff when I preordered the LE. Now I get it for 10$ cheaper :DFoster113

Exactly how I felt, I dont want a dumb hobbe and some stupid fate cards. All i care about is the making of and my exrtra weapons/dungeon.

Yes, Fable 2 CE will only be coming with the game and extra digital content. The physical extras are being removed from the original collector's edition package.

They have advised us that the developer diary and soundtrack are no longer going to be available on the bonus DVD.

We are very disappointed and would like to reassure you that your Collectors Edition will still include:

Bonus DVD with new 'Making-of' Feature.
Bonus in-game content (requires Xbox LIVE®) including:

· The Hall of the Dead Dungeon

· The Wreckager Legendary Cutlass Weapon

· Spartan armor and energy sword

Also because you have ordered from GAME.co.uk you will have already received your code to download the Fable II Xbox Live Pub Games. If you have not received this yet have no fear as they are being emailed out every Friday afternoon, fear not! They are being emailed out every Friday afternoon.

Man - as long as they reduce the price (as we are no longer paying for what we ordered) and the game is as good as I hope it is then maybe this wont be as bad for them as it could be

HOWEVER - it is extremely embarassing and you have to wonder why these problems are occuring, why its only been brought to our attention 3 weeks before its out - and why they cant supply the soundtrack or diaries (not that these two items were in my interest)

Its probably the fact that if they mentioned it earlier then pre-orders would have been hit. But if the game isnt up to scratch then this will be very damaging
