FALL OUT 3 HELP ME!!!! please

Ok I'm level 3 1/2 I've got the gatling laser, minigun, sawed off, 10mm, 32., missle launcher, etc.

So I've been told that my dad is at the radio station..., but were the heck is it! Does that annoying green path lead you there on your map if so I'm retarded and I need to find some ammo and fight through the city to get there, but I did'nt want to try going there until I know thats were i need to go

so can anyone tell me is that the way to go or am i retarded (Remember this is right after the guy in the saloon told me to go to the radio station)

Use the metro. After getting out of the metro, you will encounter a group of Brotherhood of Steel members fighting a group of super mutants. Stick with them and you get to GNR. Here:
