[QUOTE="tjoeb123"]Is there a chance that the evil RROD would appear once again after installing the Fall Update?mfp16
RROD is a hardware problem, fall update is software, they have viratully nothing to do with eachother.
hardware it is. :)
Mines from launch too, never had any problems. (better knock on wood here)
I doubt the RROD problem could ever be caused by a software update, other issues though could pop up. I'll volunteer to be a second guinea pig. If something ever goes wrong I could always use a bigger HD anyway.
The Fall update doesn't have to do anything with the RROD, but it did help us to directly download the game on the hard disk, this will reduce disk scratches and disk problems.
The thing is, a new motherboard(Jasper) is actually going to be upgraded into the 360 by this August, that hopefully will reduce the RROD below than 10%.
Don't play it for like 12 hours, if you like your 360 then don't break it.

It may take more proccessing power to run the new software and cause it to overheat. And overheating is related to RRoD? So yeah they are related.Sorry to tell you, but this is a microsoft machine yes it's a great machine but the software isn't that good it's probably gonna be able to get the three red rings until the next gen system the Xbox 720 then theirs gonna be something wrong with that one, no I'm not a fanboy of sony or nintendo I love my Xbox 360 it's just, this is microsoft we're talking about.wii_dude101
The original xbox was a fine machine and it's the hardware that isnt perfect on 360 not the software. If you talking windows then you have a point but with so many consumers your bound to run into many problems.
I thin there is a change that the fall update will conlfict with some versions of 360, its the same with any update for any machine. It's a complex machine so it's possible, both 360 and PS3 has had it before so the changes are there.
