I dont understand why everyones cryin and complaining about the avatars/dashboard update...its gonna happen and we cant do anything about it...im sure its been in the makin for months upon months now and its outta our hands so face it...complaining isnt gonna change the minds of the developers to the point where they're gonna say, "lets cancel the work we spent all this time on and keep the old interface/gamerpictures...i personally think its good that they're givin us somethin fresh and new to experience

I couldn't agree more... I actually think they're a great idea, rip-off or not, and I think it has potential...
I think the re-design is a step in the right direction...

I dont think you have to update because the new features will be compatible with both present and future games...so i dont think future games will say u have to update or u cant play them

I completely agree and I am actually puzzled as to why people are even complaining at all... the new update looks amazing and more modernized. The current look is boring and tired. The new features look amazing. Too bad I'm with Blockbuster and not Netflix though... but anyways, I am super psysched for the Xbox Live party system where you can chat with more than just two people. I would have been happy with just three way chat. Now you can with 8!!!! I love the new idea and the avatars are great. I want to play 1 vs. 100 with people as well. The new Arcade titles being released look great and the design looks more approachable. I feel Microsoft took E3 by storm and blew Nintendo and Sony out of the water. Nintendo didn't announce crap, and Sony did pretty well. No one was even close to Microsoft though.
its not the change that poeple were dissapointed about. it didnt seem right for people that paid for themes and gamerpics then replace them with stupid avatars. but there are reports that they can still integrate into the new update. b**hing helps sometimes because M$ listens to complaints.
well they should just intergrate these features into the old dashboard, and let the people choose what setting they want.papi_lekker
I disagree. I feel if they did that it wouldn't be the same, it would frustrate users, and the features would be impossible to integrate to the old dashboard. They designed it in a way so that the marketplace was easier to get around. I love the new idea and am all for it.
I think it is a good idea. I would have liked some more realistic avatars but the ones I've seen will work fine. I hope they add some stuff like being able to search for mp3's by name. I would just like to see more advanced support for PC connectivity.
ok its been said so many times. yes you have to update! simple as that
i didnt like the new look but i actually saw a video walkthrough today of it and you can still use themes and you can actually see the picture now with all the open space its rather nice
still dont like avatars but for the games like 1 v 100 it makes sense but as for finding people with them i dont like that

Thats a good question, I haven't seen where you would be able to change it back after the update. But it would be cool to have choices if you didn't want to use it. But even if you didn't, the new update IMO seems to be way more accessible, so wouldn't you want to use the update that is more intuitive? To each his own, but I think the update is quite interesting.

i agree..alot of people are complaining about something that is already set in stone.
whats really sad is that people are ignoring the other features the update is offering and are only conserned about how "childish" the avatars are.
