i seriously hope so. bethesda had me ready to go super, until i found this game actually had an ending. that almost ruined the entire game and the point of playing it. srsly? Oblivion let u keep playing after main story, y not fallout 3? they NEED to release a patch like you're talkin about. some new gear wouldn't be a bad idea either.

no the patch does not include the ability to continue playing after you have finished the main quests.

There's three add ons. One of them lets you continue after the finish, maybe the 3rd as it picks up after the end of the main story.

The 3rd one will raise the cap to 30.

The 1st on is a simulation type deal of the liberation of Alaska, you'll have to look up the 2nd one... the info is out there.

edit: there was a patch released for 360 and pc fixing bugs, but you'll need to add ons for the above.

Operation: Anchorage is you playing as an Alaskan taking out the Chinese (or something like that...the ninja is a bit of a concern towards the matter of the actual content). The Pitt is the Brotherhood versus the Slavers in Pittsburgh. Broken Steel will let you play as your own character (the canon story is still under speculation, I believe) in a push against the Super Mutants, and raises the level cap to 30. I believe the DLC you'd be looking at is Broken Steel, released in March.
