Fallout 3 - Can't Get Into Murder Pass

Alright, boys, well I'm in a bit of a sticky situation.

I've been looking at threads all over the place to find a solution to my problem, and I just can't find one.

My problem? alright, here are the facts: I'm in Little Lamplight, and I cannot get into Murder Pass. No, I don't have a good enough science skill to hack the door. I've talked to the Mayor several times, and he has lead me to the gate, as is supposed to happen. However, when he arrives, he simply stands at the lever and does nothing. I can talk to him, but it never involves opening the gate. Also, I cannot seem to find Princess, and I may have already told her 'Nobody likes you,' so she may not even talk to me if I do find her. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, I do not have a saved game from before I entered lamplight.

Sounds like a nasty glitch. You could try just leaving Little Lamplight for a bit, go do some side-quests and get your science skill up so you can hack the terminal.TaintedSaint666

Ah, I forgot another wonderful fact: I'm level 20!!!

Oh well. I'll see if I can snag a bobblehead or two, and a **** load of Big Book's. My Science is only 27 lol

I have finished Fallout 3 twice already and I am having problems with the third attempt. I cannot get into Vault 87 via Murder Pass or Joseph. I completed all necessary quests to get there and went to Lamplight. I decided to do other quests and the add ons before I went into the vault. I've come back to finish it now and I can't do it. There are no conversation prompts with Joseph or the Colonel kid. I have gone back and reloaded a game from several hours before and it still won't allow me to finish it. On my Quests tab it seems to already be open. It states "retrieve the GECK". Am I screwed here? This must be some sort of glitch. I'm pretty sure I've tried everything. Has anyone had this issue and/or have a cheat code to "unlock" Murder Pass gate? When I try to trip the pulley it states "you can't do this now". Like I said, this will be my third time completing it, so I am positive I have completed all quests needed to access Vault 87. I am level 25 and have maxed out all my attributes so that's not the problem, either. I would appreciate any help. Thanks. Mitriza
