Fallout 3 ending (spoilers)

I hate it when games dont let you save after the ending. After you kill the General what is the point in giving him an awesome pistol if you can never use it?

u r suppose to wait for the dlc that lets u continue after the game

the broken steel dlc, releases sumtime this month

It's ok, but sucks that you can't repair it with anything.

Good thing i was pretty disapointed i couldn't continue playing my character i was expecting too considering Bethesda let you do that in Morrowind or Oblivion.Appreciate the info.
