Fallout 3 Game Informer cover story! Confirmed for Xbox 360 release!

With the trailer arriving today, we felt it would be rather fitting to announce our July cover. We're blowing the lid off of one of the most anticipated returns of a franchise - Fallout 3. We bring you inside Bethesda and give you the first details about this post-apocalyptic open-ended RPG that's hitting the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2008.



If that weren't enough, we've also got the first hands-on report for Harmonix's next project, Rock Band! There's a whole lot more on tap in the July issue, as well as the upcoming July edition of Game Informer Unlimited that's set to debut on June 18th. Stay tuned...

i have never played fallout 1 or 2 but i have played fallout: brotherhood of steel... it was an ok game... is fallout 3 gonna be like that oneadders99

For those that aren't quite in the know, my biggest gripe with Oblivion was that it was a fantasy world with swords and magic...pretty, but lame. Fallout is a dark and gritty post-apocolyptic world (in this case, Washington D.C) with futuristic weapons and nuclear charged enemies...awesomeness confirmed, and no lame elves.TheSystemLord1

Not to get catty here, but you've got some nerve talking about how lame elves are with an anime character avatar. Judge not, lest ye be judged and all that, y'know? I'm not a huge fan of elves myself, but you've got to kinda pick your battles, bud.

see, i'm the other way around.  when i play RPGs, i like sword and sorcery, i prefer it tenfold to modern day/future/whatever.   so, i'm only half looking forward to fallout 3, and i'll have to rent it first, to see if the gameplay and stuff can overcome the setting.
