Should I be getting my hopes up about this game or is it going to be garbage? Anyone know anything about who's making it? I've never even heard of the series, but the gameplay video I saw on X-Play got me pumped. Looks like alot of fun.
Its makers are Bethesda, the makers of the Elder Scrolls Series. This game has a lot of promise, and I only hope it won't be ruined by veteran fallout fanboys who whine and complain that this game is going away from the Fallout formula. I think Bethesda still has some polishing up to do though, controls seemed kind of clunky in the E3 demo and the AI seemed kind of... unsure.
Yeah. It looks awesome, but I hope there's more variety in environments. I know that the game is going to place in post-apocalyptic Washington, but I still hope there will be something else too than just grey buildings and roads. It seemed a little boring in E 3.

Definitely getting it day 1 if I can, I saw the trailer on Live and it looked.....Epic
The makers of the game are Bethesda, the same people who made Oblivion, arguably the best RPG on 360 and PS3 and Morrowind, one of the best RPG's on Xbox. Theyre pretty good at making RPG's of a certain formula.
this is the one game, above fable 2, gow2 that i am betting on thatll get great scores. i just cant see it getting anything lower than a 9. gta4 showed us that huge sandbox games that are amazingly detailed get high scores. am i gonna buy it though? we'll see.
but honestly it seems as if they took oblivion, changed the map, atmosphere and weapons and called it fallout3. the quests, fast travel, heck, even some of the enemys in the game looked like red guards

What e3 demo are you guys talking about? You mean the trailer that's half a mock up of old commercials? If so, that's not a demo. I'd like to see something along the lines of what Lionhead provided with the fable 2 demo. Not a bunch of random highlights, but a 20 min demo of the game, showing how it really looks.

Red Guards....you mean black people? And what quest? Tell me some of the quest that are in Fallout 3, I'm curious to know these quest, that you know of, and their similarity to Oblivions.
