Fallout 3 The Pitt Steel Ingots worth getting?

Fallout 3...the Pitt DLC...are the steel ingots worth getting? how long do they take to collect if i go for all 100 and are they hard to find

Achievement. So yes.

You get some cool gear like the Metal Blaster and an achievement so yes. I just used IGN's walkthrough for it which made it quite easy.

You get the perforator, metal blaster and tribal power armor, so yes, i'd say its worth it

It gives you an achievement and the Metal Blaster and the Tribal Power Armor which are outstanding in combat.

Definately worth it. You get some pretty decent pieces of equipment for every 10 ingots that you find including a sweet piece of armour at the end. Plus you get an achievement. It really doesn't take very long, they aren't that well hidden, and you can always use a guide if you need it.

Yeah right, you get 10 unique pieces of armor and weapon, including the Tribal Power Armor for all 100 ingots, which looks very cool. (Little tip, if you sided with ashur during the "The Pitt" quest, sneak behind ashur, go to steal mode, but don't steal anything ... place a full repaired tesla armor in his inventory and when you leave steal mode, he will wear the tesla armor instead. Then go to steal mode again and now you can steal Ashurs Power Armor, which is a stronger version of the Tribal Power Armor from him. That is ... if you didn't kill him before)

If I were to follow a guide to get the ingots, would it spoil the story in any way for me?

I'd say no. Hunting for ingots gets you special Power Armor, upgraded Auto Axes, and the Metal Blaster. Unless you're a melee character, they aren't worth it.

It lengthened the DLC for me so its worth it. Took me a while to find the last four ingots. :(

Why? The T-51B Armor is way better than the Tribal Power Armor. Heck, the T-45d Armor and Tesla Armor are both better than it. No need to worry about something you don't need.
