I have already put the Fusion Pulse Charge on the bomb but now I decided I would rather not blow up Megaton because it lowers my karma way to much when I blow up Megaton. Is there a way that I can still disarm the bomb?

Im not for sure, but before i put the charge on the bomb i saved it and then blew megaton up just to see what it was like. Then i went back and didnt put it on. But if you saved it before you put the charge on,go back to that saved game, but otherwise talk to the sherrif, or go to the bomb and see what you can do.

If you saved before you did that, the solution is obvious. If you didn't save then you are retarded. Try talking to the sheriff like dude said. Otherwise, just start over. You're not very far anyway (from the sound of it).
