Which one do you think is the better game? My vote goes to Fallout 3.

Both are superb games & I think Red Dead Redemption is a great game in all aspects, but I enjoyed & got in more hours with Fallout 3.

These games are completely different. I would go with Fallout 3, but I haven't played RDR.

RDR feels much more realistic, and immersive, I guess.

Im Not Judging It On That One Reason, Im Just Comparing RDR And Fallout 3 (Even Though Its Almost Immpossible) Plus It Is A DeFault Setting, And Most People Don't Change A Game Off Of It's DeFault Settings.

Fallout 3 is much better. RDR becomes one of those types of games where it's a chore to finish because all the missions feel the same and are so repetitive. And I didn't like the characters in RDR besides the guy you play as.

I hate when people ask these kinds of "which of these two totally different games are better than the other"; why not keep it like "what's better Oblivion or Fallout 3... GTA IV or Red Dead Redemption?". lamprey263

Not really similar minus the "open-world" exploration, but I much prefer Fallout 3. RDR is good, but I'm just not that thrilled with it. I personally think it's an 8-8.5 game. Fallout 3 is a 9 for me.

Definitely Fallout 3, bought it a couple days ago and i really like it.

Have not played RDR but it is similar to GTAIV then i would say Fallout 3.

And to my knowledge, both the games use a form of aiming for you, Fallout with VATS and RDR just with autoaim - both of which are optional.

Depend 2 diffrent style and genra of game pretty much i love red dead because i been waiting for a good epic immersive western while fallout 3 is great for the post apocolyptic era . so too me i make them pretty much equal.

Well i lended from my friend fallout 3 and after that i buyed RDR but i had more fun with fallout 3.

Of the two, I've only played Fallout 3. Even then I've only just left Vault 101.

looking back, red dead is better overall, but fallout3 holds its own.

all the missions felt the same? i must have been playing a different game then you, the missions seemed quite varied to me. the characters and dialogue in RDR is way better than fallout also imo.

On topic... Red Dead Redemption. The majority of my time with Fallous 3 was spent navigating around chunks of debris. Not my idea of a good time.

Plus the ending of Red Dead Redemption was pretty cool (for a video game, please don't point out 50 examples of the same story being done better in literature and cinema).

If you can't compare two things just because they are different you have issues.

It basically comes down to this.... which do you enjoy playing more? Which game would you rather have be your last game forever if every other game in existence melted off the face of the planet? Or if you were stranded on a desert island?

Which game made you shout, "HOLY CRAP, I AM SO GLAD I SPENT $60 ON THIS DONKEY!!!"

With that knowledge, now everyone can cast their votes a little more accordingly...

I would prefer to be left with Fallout 3. Ain't nothin better than blowing some jockey's head off with a sawed off at close range and then manipulating a couple of corpses into some positions that definitely aren't PG-13...
