The Xbox Twitter confirms this for those interested. Curious what they will bring to the table, its not really something I really care about, not just because its usually on PC, but I prefer to play games in their original intended vision, I dont like any modifier or Cheats that could alter that vision of the dev.

However, since they are coming to Xbox One now, I'll get to see what the fuss is about...I heard some can be very comical. Anyways, first I'll have to finish this enormous game

#Fallout4 [M] mods are coming to #XboxOne. Get them free on May 31 and learn more at https://t.co/fRtqesfdny. https://t.co/tGMHmECFOv

@Alucard_Prime: I also read that by using mods you will disable getting achievements, so I guess it will be best to use on a separate save file if you care about completing the game, achievement wise that is.

I have a question and I dont want to sound like a Noob or anything..BUT...I have been playing Xbox One Fallout 4 for a while now and its never updated to my knowledge..do the update happen in the background or do I initiate them somehow ??? usually in other games I would start to play them and it would update before I started to play it..that has not happened one time yet with fallout 4..I am playing online an active account..Help please !!

@Alucard_Prime I prefer to play the game unaltered too, stick to the original vision. However there are some mods that don't affect gameplay but can really affect enjoyment. For instance in Skyrim there are mods that greatly improve the map and the inventory UI, especially for mouse and keyboard users. Not to mentions mods that fix a ton of bugs not covered by official patches.

Thing is, most of the best PC mods for Skyrim (and for Fallout 4 as far as I know) use scripts that alter the .exe file so they probably can't be ported to Xbox. Moreover, mods that improve graphics and things like that would probably be too much for Xbox hardware. Still it's an interesting experiment and I think some mods is better than no mods at all.

If you have instant on then you can have auto updates. I personally use power saving since I like to turn off my console everyday (so I have to do the updates manually).

@pug987: That sounds interesting(ui improvements). The ones I saw that looked funny were the re-skins where the main characters looks like something else. It would be cool to have one where the gravity is like the moon. Jump and soar high and then fire down at enemies lol. I'm sure I'll be more open to try more stuff once I finish the game. But for now I might try the minor ones like the UI thing.

It has a 2GB cap lmao

Not worth getting. I might as well get Wildlands and BF1

Or Fallout 4 just because I love Fallout, but definitely not just for mods...
