Fallout new vegas Extreme Problems

Okay so i was playing Fallout new vegas and doing well and when i went back to the strip entrance to talk to Yes Man again the

"Gate to The Strip" Said this "[REQUIRES KEY}" Does anyone know how to fix this to get into the strip or if there is another way in if so p;ease tell me it would

be greatly appreciated

i think you have to pay someone to get into the strip..or maybe come at the right time...

ive already got the passport that let me through and have been in several times before it also wont let me pay the security bot because when i interact with him he just says move along i have also tried it every 4 hours in game time and no luck but thank you for youre reply

I have never had to use a key to get in the strip you can go there any time of day so it isnt the time of day. Maybe there is something i dont know about though. Try fast traveling somewhere else then fast travel back to freeside and walk to the entrance.

Yeah, it is very buggy game, but lukcy me i have not gotten any game-breaking glitches yet.

They patched it twice already.

I do agree most time it takes more than two patches i was just making sure he knew it had already been patched. It was actually patched again last night so that makes 3 patches.

I dont know exactly where but i do remember on a loading screen it had said there are 2 ways into the strip. Freeside, and the monorail at camp maccarren but they said the monorail was for NCR VIPs or something like that, I will try to find it later today.

I also experienced this as well. I have been back and forth to the strip MANY times, then all of the sudden it wouldnt let me in any more. I had forgotten about the monorail, though, I will try that. Thanks!

Gamebreaking? No. Annoying and inconvenient? Yes. I've had it happen to me on two of my playthroughs. The work around is to kill the first securitron when you approach the gate. He has a key on him that you can loot to get in. All the securitrons WILL shoot at you even when you get into the strip so just run straight to the lucky 38. Sleep in your bed for a few hours and when you come back out everything will be back to normal.

Buy yourself an old cowboy hat and wear it every time you wish to access the strip. Don't know why, but it works a treat. Also, you get to keep the 2000 caps - the robots just check to see that you've got it.

Same thing happen to me. I was suddenly locked out for no apparent reason. So I just shoot (sniper) those securitron robots guarding the gate and get the key from their 'scrap metal'. So now I will never be locked out!
