Have you tried clearing the cache in your hard drive? Do you only have one save for New Vegas? It's always a good idea to have several saves incase something like this happens.

Your file might be corrupt. Try loading from a recent auto-save and see what happens.

Go into the system settings, select Memory, highlight the hard drive and press Y then select clear cache. I'm sure it's called clear cache or it might be called housekeeping. I forget.

Yeah, there is a glitch with the mission involving some ghouls and helping them build a rocketship

The fix is not to have those particular items in your inventory

Your going to have to start from a previous save file there is just no way around it

It is probably a glitch, you might have to load another save.

Honestly, you should keep a minimum of two alternating saves on every game you play, but especially on ones that have a reputation for save game problems (I typically rotate 3 saves on everything).

Keep trying to load the game, eventually it loads.

Also get rid of some older saves.

It sounds like you may have to start over. It's a good idea to keep more than one alternating saves for games like that. I remember when I played it I started out really liking it. Unfortunately, toward the end, my enjoyment was overpowered by the utterly broken mess that the game is.

Hate to say it, but you will have to start over. In my personal experience...i have restarted the game at least 4 times, and now, it freezes so much that I just stropped playing it all together. Its not worth losing my Xbox over all the hard resets I had to do. Come on Fallout 4

When you select save, there's an option to create a new save. Do that, and then once you have two different saves, just overwrite the oldest one each time. It'll save you a headache at some point.
