Okay, Fable II and Fallout Three, to me, Fable II seems so much better because your not playing in A GARBAGE PILE....
And everything you do in Fable determines the look on your character..
Fallout three to me just seems stupid... I mean who wants to walk around in a landfill? Please elaborate and point out my stupidity because EVERYONE says Fable II is crappier than Fallout

Excuse me Mr.Troll maybe the reason why your running around in a destroyed and messy world is because the world was blown to ashes by nuclear war learn to read Mr. Troll!

Fable II better then Fallout 3 wow hey look I kicked a puppy now I have horns sticking out of my @$$ hey how about I slaughter an entire town for no apparent reason and it's okay I won't die I'll just come back to life with some scars on my body and keep slashing.

Look Fallout 3 is a great game there is no need to explain why it is so good to someone who does'nt have an open enough mind to have an unbiased decsion on the game from the start.

I'm not going to attack you, I'm not going to laud you with how bassackwards you are, etc. etc. Some people don't like certain games, no harm no foul.

If you want your hand held throughout a game that is rediculously easy, and want your floating castles/pretty character please stay in Fable II.

Fallout 3 is clearly beyond your palette.

so true. and then now that you want it to be a bad game, when you play it you will nitpick tiny things to prove your point. sorry sir you are wrong. I loved fallout3 but hated fable 2? why you ask? because its my opinion.

It is the very nature of the environment around you that makes the game so compelling. That is my opinion of the game world, at least, and you are entitled to your own opinion, but when you just throw out negative terms like "garbage pile" and "landfill" then I think that you are missing the point of the virtual world. If you actually played a bit of the game, then you might understand the reason behind the hypothetical future that is Fallout 3.

I just rented Fallout 3 today myself and I'm still getting used to it, although it's really not what I expected from it. I'm trying to play it the way I did with Oblivion, but I just don't find the same enjoyment I did with Oblivion. I don't know, I haven't done much yet and my character still sucks, I'm sure it'll grow on me.

imo Fallout was a better game than Fable. Especially in a longlasting sense, I don't buy rpgs to beat them in a week. Fallout hade a real enviorment and required more thinking than Fable.

I know how you feel. I love Fallout 3, but I hated Oblivion. Did the same thing you did with Oblivion. I bought it because of the hype, played it for a day, and sold it back because I hated it. Not everyone likes every game.

people who dont like fallout 3 havent played it, or they just dont have the attention span for a game that actually has more than 10 hours of gameplay in it.

-fallout 3 is a post apocalyptic world showing humans trying to survive and adapt to a world beyond crazy

-a great in depth story line

-tons of characters weapons enemies, action, should i go on? what else do you need... come on

how many castles have we walked through in rpg's umm like every single one, thats one of the bast things about fallout3 is the fact it has a different environment then all the rest, you know i haven't played fable 2 at all and i will admit i don't know so thats where i end my statements about it

Im going to be serious here. I have both Fable 2 and Fallout 3. You can look at my achievements, i do own them both. After playing both games for over 10 hours each im am not sure wich it better. It depends on what you are looking for. Fable 2 is more of a fun, do whatever game with character building and fun battles. Fallout 3 is more on the side of exploring, finding things, making decisions, and playing a long, long, long time. Both of the games have great character development and quests, but you can compare games that are totally different from each other. Overall they are both great games and should not be called crap or filf

I agree. I think people who prefer Fable are just either little kids or are more into lord of the rings-type fantasy games. Fallout 3 is definately better, but thats just my opinion.

The fact is, you can't say that a game is bad or that one game is better than another simply because of their settings. That's like saying Lost Planet was bad because it was set in a snowy environment and you don't like snow, or that you hate GTAIV because you have an intense dislike of cities. You can't say Fable 2 was all-around better or more fun because it was set in an environment you personally preferred.

Rather, you have to look at how the environments are created. I have Fallout 3 and I have to say that although I originally doubted whether I could stand that bombed out wasteland, there's actually a lot of detail and variety there if you look and i really love it. Can't say anything about Fable 2 b/c I don't own it, though from the previews I've seen and my experiences with the first one it's pretty nice too, although in a much different way. It resembles a setting out of a fairy tale or fable (gee, who would have thought it?) and is not really meant to look gritty and realistic (a la Fallout 3). So if that's what floats your boat, ok, just don't go citing that as a reason why one game is better than the other.

P.S.: And to anyone complaining about VATS in Fallout 3, nobody says you have to use it. It's perfectly possible and sometimes easier to go without it, so you can't complain that it makes the game worse or anything.

fable 2 is over before you even know it...

and after you beat the game theres really nothing to do since your all powerfull and every thing is so easy

and i theres no replay value because the only thing you mite wana replay the game is play as bad or good, wich doesnt really change anything excpet your looks and the way how ppl react to you(screaming) and there are no harsh consequence to it. (my opinion) and you cant even make your guy look like the dude from the comericials the "flamed up dude"

and you really cant have a proffesion like being a mage or a gunslinger or just a plain swords men.you end up being everything.

while in fallout the hole good/bad will effect you all the way through out the game, every body has a name, and if a person(civilian) is killed they dont spawn back and you guys may think the vats system is silly but its actually pretty cool and very usefull, you see ppls head blowing off in slow motion and stuf

Fable 1 wasn't very good, and all my friends who rushed out and got Fable 2 beat it in 2 days and said it wasn't worth it and was just as overhyped. Not saying it's not good but Fallout 3 has alot more to offer and the troll is obviously too young to understand it, or just feels like acting like a 12 year old..

and as for JRPGs.. the best ones were in the 16 bit era, alot of the new ones havn't interested me near as much. Something about 3D graphics makes them seem alot cornier..

I haven't played either of them, but I have played Fallout 1 and 2, and the bleak atmosphere is far more interesting than the excessively used fantasy setting.

Liked fallout 3, almost have all the achievements. I agree thats its missing something, I'm a huge fan of Elder Scrolls, and i like how they adapted the same style to the fallout universe. But it didnt feel as epic as it was made out to be, yes there are two parts which are F'ing awesome, where ur like oh snap, but it didn't feel as big as it should have been. The story wasn't very compelling, it was cool but nothing to remember. And when your dad dies its not emotional at all, ur just like hey, wow hes dead, i dont care. One thing that is cool and sucks at the same time is the DC waste land, its cool how they make the wasteland look but it just doesnt have that destroyed beauty look, that other games such as Gears of War pulls off.

I really liked fable 2, it just wasnt open enough. I was hoping more for a sandbox RPG, like elderscrolls, with larger cities and more epic side missions. I have some minor issues with the menus glitching but other than that it seemed smooth. The game is kinda wierd, ie. i hate walking around and having gay dudes whistling at my charecter and saying wierd stuff. It is also preachy in that sense, the whole gay marriage thing, and they do make stabs at religion if you listin to some of the dialogue, which is somewhat frustrating because its a videogame, not a soap box.

I prefer Fable 2, but fallout 3 is compeletly more satisfying in a diffrent sense. But the Dog from fable is way better than fallouts, epecially how Dog meat in fallout dies, and is dumb as hell (ie. i tell him to run away but instead battles gaint rad scorpians).

NO ONE HAS SAID THIS YET!!! fallout 3 is NOT fun from the start. In fact i thought it was horrendously boring.... but once you start leveling up it becomes AMAZING! i LOVE it. I might even enjoy it more than oblivion. But i still think oblivion is a better game. I tried fable 2 but i couldnt get into it... it was... so shallow.

yeah, you cant even dry hump the air in fallout 3, total crap

all the "choices" in fable 2 seemed too... idk... forced i guess

to be honest im not sure what exactly i distaste able fable 2, its like its so big, but i really didnt feel compelled to search thru it.

ill try explaining it this way, fable 2 is like a toy store, its got its cool toys like rock em sock em robots; the story. then they got the video game section; side quests, family. but alot of the micromanagement for you buildings, your family, your dog, the towns people, all that feels like baby toys, it just feels so shallow to me. and since thats a big part of the game i didnt enjoy it so much.

maybe in fallout 3 you cant interact with your world as much (that doesnt mean you cant), but it sure is a hell of a lot better world to explore, what it tries to do it does better IMO.

i just think technology is to primitive as of now to give me what i would want from fable 2 (i still liked it tho, but i love fallout 3)

I have yet to play either game I had littleexperiencewith a fallout demo on my pc ten years ago, but I beat Fable the Lost Chapters which will go down as in my top five games of all time. But to my point both of these games seem very different to me other than they are both RPG's and both of them while being sequels seem to have done something revolutionary in each game. Other than that I don't get why they both are getting compared, story wise they are both very different the mechanics seem to have nothing to relate to each other and the settings are like night and day. Plus each games attitudes are very different. These games both seem great and I think it's only going to come down to personal preference. I hope after I play them this Christmas I will be a fan of both I loved Fable and I likedOblivionbut wanted a different more modern setting so it looks like Fallout 3 will be my wish come true.
