Far Cry 2 Problem.

My Friend is having a problem with his Far Cry 2 file. The game is brand new and he just got his xbox 360 back from repairs. When he gets to about 65% his file will not load. It only does this with this game so the hard drive works fine with other games and his disk is brand new. I told him to try a different save file. He tried his 50% one and it worked up until around in the 60 something percentages. So he had started completely from scratch to get all the way back to see if it happened agains. Does anybody know what is going on?

My guess is that it might have been a bug or glitch. I never had such a problem though.ShadowsRunner

Back when this game first came out, there was a big out cry about this save file glitch. Sorry to hear this is still happening and they did not fix this. Makes me not even regret trading it in. Check the Ubi forums and you will find many threads.

From my own experience, remember just my opinion, it happens when you save during the middle of a mission and there is still things going on around you like enemies fighting. This happened to me after I had completed the whole 1st map,diamonds and tapes, and half way through the 2nd map. Actually had 3 corrupt files and once it is corrupted you can never save on it again because it won't save anything new. It seems like it does but no matter how far you get it won't load anymore and just freeze.

Sorry again cause I really liked the one on the original Xbox and this game was great single playerwise, didn't mind all the traveling like most people hate. I just finished as much as I could and got rid of it. Especially since the multi is boring and the fact you can get BOOTED out of a ranked match when your doing to good.
