Mercenaries is one of the buggiest games on the 360. Far Cry 2 is way too boring. great ideas, bad outcome. I'll buying it soon, seeing as it's UBER cheap lol.
Mercenaries 2 failed to capitalise on the success of the first game in almost every way -it should be passed over even by the most hardcore gamers.
If you've got the patience to let it get going, Far Cry 2 is a great FPS. The feel of the combat is great, the buddy system is one of the best ever realised in videogames, and the visuals are better than what I thought possible on the 360.
A lot of people follow the mob mentality and crap all over FC2. While the constant travel can get very annoying, it has tons of action, a decent story, cool weapons and decent multiplayer. Mercenaries 2 was a buggy mess. I loved Mercs 1, but I sold Mercs 2 the day after I beat it, and hated the game. It's shallow: There are barely any story missions, the AI is awful and the destruction feels like a novelty and gets boring fast
I am not going to say FC2 is the greatest game, but it is definitely a good game if you give it a chance. Visually it is spectacular. There are some issues, but for the price you shouldn't pass this one up.
Um.. I'm pretty sure SR2 wasn't an option. Anyway, definately Far Cry 2. It's the landscape is beautiful and you can tell the devs put alot of time into it. The story and campaing aren't great but they aren't terrible. Mercs 2 on the other hand is just a bad game. Not fun and buggy.
Mercs 2 was a huge disappointment, as I loved the original. The second one just flat-out sucked. Far Cry 2 was a lot of fun, but, unless they fixedthe corrupt save glitchsince I sold it, make sure to always create a new save file in it once you get in the 60% completion area.
