Far Cry 3 graphics bad or what?

I saw trailers on tv that must have been from the pc version because my 360 graphics are terrible!!! Anybody else think so? Or is there a setting to make it look better that i am missing?

Well the ads are made with the PC version, and yes it is going to be a lot better than the console versions. This is just a given

Its a hitachi 40" 1080p It has an awesome picture its not the tv. Maybe i was just expecting too much? My friend has it for 360 and he said the same thing.......

thats not the hitachi with the motor in the stand is it? Hitatchi hasnt had TV's in Australia for 5 years.

when in the game, press hte info button on ur remote to make sure the console is spitting out at least 720p, if its not, check ur settings. plus what do u consider bad? low FPS? blurry textures? pop in?

The graphics on the 360 look real sweet.

Switching to a digital output should improve the image quality a bit... but it's still not going to compare ot the PC version.

The PC version has double to quadrupple the texture resolution, it runs at 60 FPS @ 1080p or higher, it supports advanced SSAO shadowing, and features AA + AF, as well as higher quality shadows/lighting.

The limitations of the old consoles are technical, just that simple.

It looks amazing on PC, that is with all Ultra settings, some breathtaking graphics if you ask me.

Yes, a game thats playing on a seven year old console looks worse than a PC game on a PC rig of todays standards. I wonder why? this is terrible, how can this be? I'm outraged..

**** You either need glasses or just not able to be honest. I have the PS3 and there is constant "patterned" texture like a screen door through everything. It reminds me of the redo Crysis they did for 20 bucks on DLC for xbox/ps3. There IS a texture in everything. How you cannot notice that is beyond me.

Yes there is a textured pattern running through everything. like very very small window-panes or a screen-like texture. It reminds me of how no-one but me saw how AWFUL the graphics were in RAGE...everytime you looked somewhere new it took about a second and a half for the textures to fill in. These graphics remind me of when they re-did CRYSIS for dlc on xbox/ps3...everything had this grainy feel to it. I popped in FAR CRY 2 and that game looked amazing! compared to this. I read how they bragged about the technology and power and lighting and all that jazz but really...JUST LOOK how grainy everything is...it's not smooth and plush like #2 is. I just don't understand how you cannot see this. As far a having fun, I'll give it a 10/10 I LOVE the gameplay on the hardest level and am having a great time but no one is online.

That's likely the case. EA did the same thing for BF3, showing off the PC graphics to garner excitement for all the systems.

I bought the ps3 version and its graphics also sucks i think that we just got a bad cd ar something beacause i tried it on other ps3 graphics were still like sh*t i have been trying to find solution to this problem but a very few like me and u r experiencing this problem my graphics are all jagged and fps rate is low on ps3

I'm playing it on the 360 and am finding that the graphics are a very mixed bag. Some of the character models in cut scenes are pretty awful - they stand out from the scenery in a way that reminds me a bit of the digitised fighting games of the 90's. There's a lot of texture pop in at times too. However... explosions are a joy, as is the hang-gliding/driving and the rag doll on bad guys when you shoot them is really cool.

However... it's simply a lot of fun. I always seem to find that, as long as the game's fun, I can forgive a lot of technical foibles. Fallout 3 and Skyrim suffered similarly and I never cared - they were SO big, SO dense and SO much fun that to my mind, if the price I had to pay for that was the occasional texture popping in a second or two late, it was a price I could afford. It's when I come across a game that's a quarter of the size and as buggy as hell that I start asking questions.

360 version has that "mesh" shadow thing going on.

PS3 version has black space around the picture.

Not a very good port, it's basically Crytek putting out a bad product.

The Graphics aren't the best ever but they're up there
