Is this game worth the $65? I had FC2 a while back and while I thought at it's core it was a good game it was very frustrating at the same time, especially the enemy outposts and NO FAST TRAVEL! I've been watching videos on this game and it looks to have improved a lot on my complaints I had with FC2. Now I'd be getting this game with no care for competitive MP all I would be playing is singleplayer and possibly the co-op, would this game be worth the full price for me?

to me I feel a little disappointed because while it's a good game, I'm forcing myself to take the time to play it and I'm at 21 hours so far still at the first island so I haven't beaten it, but I heard the campaign is only 10 hours long if you went straight to the main quests. I feel like I shouldn't even be forcing myself but what I'm doing is travelling by foot and not using fast travel as much. And I heard there's nothing really to do once you beat the game, other than fighting pirates and once you capture all of the outposts, the world becomes empty, so on this save I'm just not going to capture any outposts.

Pretty much my OCD tells me to buy games if the campaign is worth the dollars paid, so I mostly wait to buy games when there $20 if the campaign is only like 10-15 and if it's longer then great, but this is the first game I bought this year at full price because I was really hyped for it and I should have waited for a price drop on this one. Atleast for me, my game didn't come with pre order extras and the bestbuy clerk said it should have. This is obviously not the best opinion you can get on the game though but it's a good game, I just wish I got it for $50 because frys has it on sale this week so I'm pretty pissed off when I just bought the game for full price.

I think it's worth $65 easily.

Enemy outposts stay enemy free after you clear them, enemy outposts become fast travel points, you can fast travel from anywhere on your map. I played FC2, while I liked it, but it had a lot of issues. FC3 has fixed them completely.

The game has a lot of interesting level up perks too. The map size is comparable to Skyrim's.

I took the plunge and purchased the game earlier today, I ended up buying the GameStop edition of the game which came with some DLC which was a nice surprise. I've played around 3 hours or so and so far it's not bad. A lot of the stuff that made me rage in Far Cry 2 has been addressed so I'd say it was worth the purchase.

So, so good. They got rid of all the frusturations from FC2, every last bit of them, while keeping the massive open world (which looks absolutely stunning) and adding loads of new features. The survival mechanics are awesome, as is the skill tree. Visuals are absolutely mind blowing. This game blew me away. The campaigns nice and long, but when you're done there's so much other crap to do it's ridiculous. And if friends come over there is actually co op that's a lot of fun, me and my roommate have been playing often. And obviously mp.

So yeah. It's worth it.
