I had the game but returned it(it was with the package) because 'Next gen' games should be next gen, so lets just say the game is too short for the ride.
It is pretty violent, but not more so than most fps. The multiplayer is nice and there are a fair amount of people who play it online. The single player is ok in my opinion, I have fun with it. It's not a superb single player game. It just plays nicely imo.
It has some violence and it is an excellent game. Read the original Far Cry Instincts Review. The reaso it scored so low is becauyse it's a port of the xbox version. It's a great game.

a 7.9 isnt terrible because if it was shadowrun would be carp oh wait it kinda is and the original got a 9.2 from gamespot so its not terrible at all so get your facts straight and yeah its pretty bloddy and its a awesome game too
i've only played farcry pc. it rocked. fear on the pc rocked too but only got average scores on consoles. halo2 got a 7something on the pc. when the games are released at the same time pcs and consoles seem to be close, but when one is released much later than the other it seems to suffer. developers and publishers probably dont waste time getting the controls and interfaces right and just throw up a quick port for a quick buck
fear on 360 got pretty good reviews but ps3 didnt really and far cry for xbax and 360 is alot different from the pc version i bat both and the only thing thats the same is teh last level
