Not a chance after fail cry 2, i was looking forward to that game so much but when i started to play the characters looked like they were made from clay and the story was so boring it was the first 360 game i havent completed.

Well this article suggests it's looking good. And this article suggests they're keeping with the African setting. I hope we see some civilians and non-gang run towns. I enjoyed FC2 a lot, it gave us plenty of freedom as to how to do your missions, and the game looked beautiful.

I was really, REALLY disappointed with Far Cry 2. I felt they tried to do waaaay too much and it planked the game. I will not buy Far Cry 2 without major improvements and if they kept with the African setting. Ubisoft does no justice for beautiful Africa. It's a mockery.

I personally thought Far Cry 2 was horrible. Very hard to get into the game.

Far Cry 2 wasn't nearly as good as it could have been. The dialog was awful, the lack of an effective fast travel service made travel terrible, the quickly respawning enemies sucked and the stealth wasn't implemented very well. And it didn't have anything to do with Far Cry at all. Even with all that, it was still pretty good imo. They need to do some overhauling on a lot of issues in the third one, if they do end up making it.

I loved Far Cry 2. If FC3 was just like 2, I'd be more than happy.

so u like driving for 30 -40mins from one side fo the map to the other to do EXACTLY the same thing for 6 hours? back and ofrth it was identical each mission except at a different location (and even then sometimes they recycled the location). a bit mroe variety in the missions wouldn't have hurt. Borderlands was very similar except the sheer variety in weapons made it much more enjoyable.

The most fatal flaw FarCry 2 had was it didn't have any plot, it was immersive but boring and repetitive. They should either bring back the Jack Carver stroryline or start a new one with interesting characters and villains, A change of setting would also be welcome: South America would be great, maybe a living breathing Colombia with its drug wars like in the game Boiling Point. I also want even more weapons and this time I want them customizable, like in MW2 multiplayer and Army of Two 40th Day. I hope they improved the Dunia engine so that we'll have more wildlife running around like in RDR. Another thing: driving for 5 minutes from A to B is boring, give us helicopters or make the driving stretches shorter. I hope it'll be great

Far Cry 2 was one of those games that had immense potential, but wasn't executed well enough.Hopefully if there is a Far Cry 3,they'll fix all the crap that held Far Cry 2 down.

i mean similar guns with different colours from different manufactures to have diffrent stats each time. about 5 different classes from as many companies meant each gun was diffrerent from the last version u picked up. accuracy, damge, reload speed, shot speed, etc all different.

FC2 is an openworld game. Most openworld games have some degree of repitition. In fact, most games have some degree of repitition. I think it's unfair to single out FC2. At least in FC2 you had cars to drive. How long does it take you to walk to a mission in Fallout 3? The driving was one of my favourite things about Far Cry 2. Just driving along and soaking up the games awesome atmosphere. It didn't take as long as you're saying to drive to each mission. Yes, some of the missions were similar, but you were free to do the missions in any way you wanted. Trust me, doing the mission during the day with a shotgun is a lot different to doing the mission at night with a flame thrower. That's what some people didn't get about FC2. You have to think. Yes, some missions are the same, but the locations are different. Your tactics have to change from killing someone at a fort to killing someone in a town by a lake. Perhaps you could approach the town on a boat and use the boats mounted gun to take everyone out? Maybe you could go on a hill above the fort and take everyone out with your sniper rifle? Maybe you'd like to do both at night with your machete? Go in and kill everyone without being seen.

Personally i thought Far Cry 2 was a pretty decent game. The game looked very good i think and i thouht the gameplay was pretty fun. Starting fires and stuff was a interesting idea (in terms of how it spreads). For all of you that say it takes forever to travel across the map to a mission.... well it does take a bit BUT you know those BUS STATIONS they have all around the map ( I think theres like 6 or 7 of them). Try taking one of those they do make it a lot easier. Overall though i liked it but then again im not a picky person. I would definetly try FC3 if they came out with it.

fallout 3 just made the slow travel interesting somehow. i spent 80 hours in that game and loved every minute of it. FC3 felt like a chore.
