Well this article suggests it's looking good. And this article suggests they're keeping with the African setting. I hope we see some civilians and non-gang run towns. I enjoyed FC2 a lot, it gave us plenty of freedom as to how to do your missions, and the game looked beautiful.

that article was published in 2008 and was talking about farcry 2I loved Far Cry 2. If FC3 was just like 2, I'd be more than happy.x-2tha-z
so u like driving for 30 -40mins from one side fo the map to the other to do EXACTLY the same thing for 6 hours? back and ofrth it was identical each mission except at a different location (and even then sometimes they recycled the location). a bit mroe variety in the missions wouldn't have hurt. Borderlands was very similar except the sheer variety in weapons made it much more enjoyable.
Far Cry 2 wasn't nearly as good as it could have been. The dialog was awful, the lack of an effective fast travel service made travel terrible, the quickly respawning enemies sucked and the stealth wasn't implemented very well. And it didn't have anything to do with Far Cry at all. Even with all that, it was still pretty good imo. They need to do some overhauling on a lot of issues in the third one, if they do end up making it.hillelslovaki agree some fixes but not a massive overhaul would be nice

you mean the same guns with different colors.i mean similar guns with different colours from different manufactures to have diffrent stats each time. about 5 different classes from as many companies meant each gun was diffrerent from the last version u picked up. accuracy, damge, reload speed, shot speed, etc all different.

I hope so 2 was a very underrated game the only game I have play where can actually do missions when YOU want and How you want.
All I would like to see is a better storyline and more bad guys to kill

FC2 is an openworld game. Most openworld games have some degree of repitition. In fact, most games have some degree of repitition. I think it's unfair to single out FC2. At least in FC2 you had cars to drive. How long does it take you to walk to a mission in Fallout 3? The driving was one of my favourite things about Far Cry 2. Just driving along and soaking up the games awesome atmosphere. It didn't take as long as you're saying to drive to each mission. Yes, some of the missions were similar, but you were free to do the missions in any way you wanted. Trust me, doing the mission during the day with a shotgun is a lot different to doing the mission at night with a flame thrower. That's what some people didn't get about FC2. You have to think. Yes, some missions are the same, but the locations are different. Your tactics have to change from killing someone at a fort to killing someone in a town by a lake. Perhaps you could approach the town on a boat and use the boats mounted gun to take everyone out? Maybe you could go on a hill above the fort and take everyone out with your sniper rifle? Maybe you'd like to do both at night with your machete? Go in and kill everyone without being seen.Personally i thought Far Cry 2 was a pretty decent game. The game looked very good i think and i thouht the gameplay was pretty fun. Starting fires and stuff was a interesting idea (in terms of how it spreads). For all of you that say it takes forever to travel across the map to a mission.... well it does take a bit BUT you know those BUS STATIONS they have all around the map ( I think theres like 6 or 7 of them). Try taking one of those they do make it a lot easier. Overall though i liked it but then again im not a picky person. I would definetly try FC3 if they came out with it.
