I've never played any of the Farcrys, so is this worth getting?

Also, the MP looks cool - is it? And does anyone still play?

people still play and yes it was a brilliant game that was a poor port. The map editor and everything on it is awesome, but the multiplayer has severly died out and now all you get is noobs with **** custom maps and games. With barely any solid online entertainment.

hell no, i bought the game and felt sick because it was such a bad choice. graphics are awful, controls are worse than death, and if anyone even played mp anymore it'd still be terrible. avoid at all costs.

its not a bad game, the online is laggy. there is a map editor in it which is a cool idea but that makes everyy play their own ,maps that they have made instead of playing the other original maps that where in the game.. Some people have made some really cool ones but most of the user made maps are really bad. Other then that there are 2 games in 1 which is nice so you make the decision

I have to admit I have had some good times with that game the multiplayer is pritty good and has a map editor which makes it bigger because heck there are so many maps, and the single player is definitly playable and can be quite fun when you get a good array of feral powers (before that the game can be quite difficult because your health doesn't regenerate). It never acctually feels brilliant though the game never becomes brilliant and it has its problems, bad graphics, laggy controls even on single player there is something wrong with the controls when you look around(you'd have to play it to realise) and the games framerate can drop severly other than that it pritty fun and if you like vehicles it has lots of them however there diffcult to control. Considering how cheap it is these days I'd say get it even if it's just for giggles.

The multiplayer offline is great, if you invite some friends along, however online is poor, i enjoyed the single player though, if you can get it on the cheap then its worth it

I hated the game, so I would say don't get it. If anything, rent it and see if you like it.

when it first came out id definetly say its a must buy, Its two games in one with an awsome map editor and is pretty fun online. But since most the online community is dead id say just rent it unless you can find it for under 40 bucks.

Yes i enjoyed more than the PC version, this game is truely underated. If only it had improved the graphics more though

I got it new in the discount bin for $20.00 So I can't complain. It is not to bad, Never played it online though. Rent it first.

i dont understand how anyone can enjoy this game...there is such a delay between pressing a button or moving a stick and your character actually doing something, i thought my controller wasn't working properly.

Back in 06 I would have told you to definitely snatch it up but now there are so many other games that you could get first if you do not have them: Gears, Rainbow six, FEAR, Shadowrun (best online for the summer), I would even say to get Prey or Perfect Dark Zero before getting Far Cry. The only thing that Farcry has over any of these is that it is two games in one so the single player mode gives you plenty of playing hours and when you first start getting you animal powers it is fun to run up on people and claw them and watch them go flying in the air.

Great game. Multiplayer has a great mode called Predator mode which pits a bunch of normal players against a super-powered player called the Predator. With fun multiplayer, a deep map editor, nd a good single player, it's worth it. Watch the Far Cry Instincts (xbox) trailer for more info.
