Favorite game for achievements?

Call of Duty 4 was fun but time consuming, and madden 08 was good to pass the time on boring days.

Mass Effect. The achievemnets made me play through the game 3 times. Brilliant idea by bioware.

Crackdown. Great list, even if the orbs were triky to find sometimes. Thank God for the hidden orb guide.

Orange Box. Valve came up with some pretty interesting ones.

I've been working on the Rock Band achievements since November... you know, the "Big in *insertcity*" ones in Band World Tour. They're only 10 points each, but they're fun, especially getting them with friends.

got 1170 on marvel ultimate alliance it was fun to tr every character to get the otufits, that way i learned a lot of the game, also in oblivion becuase i played the storyline of every guild, or the achievements that you must kill 100 of enemies with x weapon that way you become more versatiledoubalfa

I'd have to agree with you on that one. I'm absolutely in love with everything comic books, and video games. So the fusion of two in one is heaven for me! This entire game is really enjoyable and I loved playing it.

I like it where a game gives you achievements regularly throughout the game, rather than giving a lot in one go, then having to play for hours and hours until you unlock the next one.

Saint's Row was fun to play, but bad for getting achievements. Because they were only unlocked after completing everyone of a certain type of mission you could play for hours doing a bit of everything and get no achievements. They were also very badly weighted, so a lot of effort would get you very little reward - do 24 missions for 10GS, and only after completing 10 different activities, each with 20+ missions would you get achievements worth 160GS. A lot of the larger achievements were dependent on you already getting a load of other low value achievements. Overall I felt this was very unbalanced.

Crackdown did them well as you could continue to earn them throughout the story, as well as through generally larking about in the city. Exploring the rooftops would help to find orbs, which would increase your powers and enable you to jump higher, and in turn find more orbs. It wasn't just finding a number of things for the sake of it (looking at GTAIV's 200 pigeons). Keys To The City made it so much more replayable, as a city without gang members did get a bit quiet
