Favorite Open world/Sandbox Game??

I talking about games like Red dead Redemption,Grand theft auto,etc.And if you say Grand Theft auto for example,please tell me which game of the series you like the best.

Just Cause 2. It's just so much fun to play.

Fallout 3.

GTA IV or Mercenaries: World in Flames.

RDR or just cause 2. just cause 2 is incredibly entertaining for short periods of time. and RDR is just incredible, and would be made even better with an online free roam zombie world. :(

Does it have to be for 360? If not, then my favorite is Morrowind. There was just a ridiculous amount of stuff to do in that game and IMO it was better than oblivion with the extremely annoying enemy leveling system. On 360, my favorite is probably Assassin's Creed Brotherhood.

My favorite is Red Dead Redemption, but I mostly like this game because of the great storytelling. I felt RDR's sandbox elements were kind of stripped when compared to the Grand Theft Auto games. In Red Dead Redemption it felt like there was this big game world, but it was almost completely barren & there is hardly anything to do other than story missions.

Otherwise, I loved the atmosphere in Red Dead Redemption, and the lively cities of Grand Theft Auto IV and Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. Oblivion too, just for exploration.

Overall I would ahve to say san andreas but just for this gen I'm going with crackdown.

Oblivion: great game but laggy (Thanks Bethesda)

Fallout 3: again great yet laggy (Thanks again Bethesda!!)

GTA 4: amazing to run round blowing off steam but novelty wears off....

Just Cause 2: Good game until you have found and collected everything... then cd becomes a mug holder..... :D

My choice from the above would be Oblivion as Fallout is a bit too short..... Hopefully the new title ES: Skyrim will introduce multiplayer, they have anew game engine so hopefully the glitchy and laggy graphics will be lessened or even better gone XD

Minecraft is by far the best open world/sandbox game but it is on the computer :P

Red Faction Guerrilla is by far the best sandbox game.

Just Cause 2 comes in at a somewhat close second, the rest don't even compare.

I'm currently playing RDR and loving it so far. Favorite open world game that I've played would either be Fallout 3 or GTA: San Andreas.
