WoW. Spent years playing it, got so much out of it, so many memories. Great game, possibly my favourite. I quit though as Blizzard are starting to kill it, I want to remember the game for what it was, not for what it has become. :P
It's hard to choose one for Xbox only though. There have been many, but I tend to like the fantasy settings more. Fallout 3 was a great, solid game, but looking back on it, I can't say I enjoyed it as much as others, even with the amount of detail in it. Oblivion, while pretty generic, is better theme wise, being a fantasy setting, but I'm not sure if it's as good as F3 detail wise, I haven't played too much of it (I own it, & plan to though). I enjoyed Morrowind a lot more then what I have played of Oblivion however. ME1 & ME2 are both amazing games also, but again, looking back on them, there is something I don't like about them, I'm not sure what it is though. As for Dragon Age, I didn't like it from the get go. I haven't played the PC version, but the combat put me off big time. With that said, I could never get into Baldurs Gate either, so I'm probably missing out.
Fable is one of my all time favourite RPGs, though it could have improved upon many things. I wish a company would copy Fable, but make it more open, something akin to a third person Oblivion/Fable hybrid. Fable II was a disappointment, mainly because I hated the setting. I didn't want guns at all, & missed the armour plating, as well as the dog being compulsory. Lost Odyssey has some amazing moments, particularly the short stories in the form of dreams. The gameplay was poor, old school turn based combat however, & there were only a few characters that I found memorable. FF13, so far (28 hours) has been a blast. Most the characters are memorable, story is great, combat is fun & I enjoy the story driven linearity, which is why many people hate it. Tales of Vesperia wasn't bad either, but I never finished it.
