Fable 2. Of all the rpgs that i've played Fable 2 was the most realistic and I'm a sucker for life copying games. Although I can't say the others weren't bad either.

im seriously like right down the middle between oblivion and mass effect, ut i went oblivion. i prolly put more hours into that
FALLOUT 3! WOOOO!
Fallout 3 was the most realistic, as that would (sort of) be like what the world would be like if we lived in a nuclear wasteland, there'd probably be more burnt down buildings and such... but, I'm pretty sure we'd have been able to rebuild by the time you exit the vault. Also, it wasn't a buy and sell type game like Fable 2, at some times I felt more like a realtor than an adventurer on that game.
Dude, for AP US History class, we watched "The Day After," which is like a Cold War day after movie. It's pretty awesome:) But yes, I liked Fallout a lot.:) (Point Lookout tonight!:D)FALLOUT 3! WOOOO!

I envy you with a vengance. I wish I sincerely thought that. but when i play oblivion or fallout I get this immence BORING felling because after you pass the game you really have nothing to do. if I vere to rank them it would go:
1) Fable 2
2) Mass Effect
3) Oblivion
4) Fallout 3
Although the music if fallout wasted all the other titles...

That's why you don't rush through it. I've spent 49 hours on Fallout 3 at the moment, and with the expansion packs it has been more around 60. Some people even play longer than that for some reason. I'm at the moment attempt to find all of the Vault-Tec bobble heads and then I'm going to buy Broken Steel and Point Lookout tomorrow.
I would get why you'd think that though. Sometimes even I get bored, but I have that adventure type spirit to keep me going through it. My list would look a little more like...
1) Fallout 3 (Seen above)
2) Oblivion (I've found that people who loved Fallout 3 also were big fans of Oblivion)
3) Mass Effect (Is a great game, it was just short and I really hated the side quests, I think I only did three in all.)
4) Fable 2 (British Accents and reality sim doesn't mix with I. I'd rather just play Sims.)
after you pass the game you have nothing to do? thats literally the EXACT opposite of oblivion. i put in about 100 hours of gameplay before i even started the main quest lineI envy you with a vengance. I've never understood how "realistic" and "unrealistic" can be justified in a game's merit. Anyhow, I'd say Mass Effect because it has such great story, characters, and universe, although Fallout 3 and Oblivion are tied for a close 2nd because those games just give you so much for your money.Fable 2. I spent days upon days playing fallout 3. Completed every quest and got top level.

Realistic as in copies life. Jobs and family and real estate. Oblivion kept saying it was 'free to do anything' game fable 2 is.

have you really played any of these games?
i have oblivion fallout and fable and played mass effect at a friends place for extensive (11 hoursish) periods of time
Oblivion tops everything...I was kinda disappointed by Fable II...I don't get the hype around Mass Effect.
I loved the first Fable but the second one did nothing for me. Mass Effect was just an amazing game had everything I loved. FPS elements, RPG elements, sci-fi, and a great story. I couldn't ask for anything more.Oblivion tops everything...I was kinda disappointed by Fable II...I don't get the hype around Mass Effect.

My point was that a game shouldn't be called better than another game just because it's more "realistic". That would be like saying rainbow 6 is better than halo on the basis that it's more "realistic".Lost odyssey is a great game. Pretty old school with great characters and an awesome story. The dreams alone makes the game worth buying.
Fallout 3 is definately my favourite. I've put so many hours into so far, need to get point lookout soon aswell - once i get some more MS points.

same here. dont have fable II though. I liked the FPS element of Mass effect but didnt like anything else much.

What did your friend do for 11 hours?
I voted for Oblivion, it is definitely the RPG I have put the most time into and probably enjoyed the most. I liked Mass Effect, but the side quests were a real downer.
I haven't got Fallout 3 yet, I'll get onto it soon enough. I'm playing Lost Odyssey atm, I enjoy turn based games and I think I'm enjoying LO, but some of the JRPG cliche's drive me insane. I don't know why they have to make it so ridiciously corny, things like Kaim the 1,000 year old hardened warrior of the battle field sitting down to get his lucious locks combed by his wife. And I mean, I like boobs and all, but I don't have a huge interest in cartoon breasts. Why the f*** is the Princess of a city wearing an outfit she picked up at the local S&M shop?
Some of these little things peeve me and while I think they dreams are generally really interesting and well written, I wish they were animated movies instead of just text.
Anyways, way off topic, sorry :)
