F.E.A.R. 2, Who's getting it, who's not?

I was born and raised on horror, loved it. Movies, books, games, anything that can scare the hell out of me, I loved it all. I am also a hardcore FPS. 95% of my games are all FPS's. So with that said, the original F.E.A.R. was like a godsend. I loved it! it was the best of both worlds for me. F.E.A.R. 1 had its few flaws, but I still loved it! So I already pre-ordered F.E.A.R 2 and I will be picking it up on release day. The game looks amazing!! I just hope its twice as scary as the first!!

How about everyone else, are you guys getting it? If not, why?

I loved FEAR! So I definitely plan on getting the second one. I still have yet to play Extraction Point though, so I think I'll do a FEAR playthrough, play the expansion, and THEN get FEAR 2. I played the original on PC, but this second iteration looks to be geared a bit more towards consoles, so I haven't decided yet on which version I'm going to get. I do like playing on my TV with a 5.1 surround sound system, but if I ever want to play multiplayer, most Xbox 360 mp games die within a few months when the newest game comes out.. but there are always people playing the original FEAR multiplayer on PC. Tough call...

The first FEAR was scary as hell and the story line was pretty good. The controls were easy and the shooting wasnt lame at all, im totally getting FEAR 2 as long as i feel its going to deliver like the first one

just started playing the demo, scared the crap outa me! if it gets a good review then its so mine :) but i never pre-order i consider that riskypenpusher

preordered it on tuesday and can't wait to go pick it up, so pumped they made the graphics better, just have to finish up playin FEAR Files through the Perseus Mandate part then i'll be ready for FEAR 2, BRING IT ON ALMA!!! lolgrubes26

yea the only downside for this game coming out so soon is that i have other games that i haven't even started that i'm looking forward to playing, but it didn't help cuz i just got my 360 back in late spring and a lot of games were coming out that i wanted and a lot that were already out so i've been in "catch up" mode so that i can get the games i already have played in time for new ones to come out, lol

Nope. I found FEAR to be boring, pointless, and it wasn't scary at all. So I won't be getting FEAR 2.PlasmaBeam44

I'm going to preorder it soon, I just haven't decided to get it for PC or 360 yet.

Just played the demo and was impressed.

Graphics are ok, reminded me of and update version of HL2 with better lighting. AI was very dumb. It fought not too badly once engaged but I was able to walk right up to enemies and shoot them in the back on multiple occasions. Are they deaf?

Controls were GREAT, very fluid. Sound was weak I thought and the guns didn't sound badass. The horror part isn't my cup althought the spooky part of well done however those events are scripted and the game seems linear because of that. I'm expecting and 80-85% average score. I might get it once price drop if multiplayer is fun.
