i think people still play it online....you should do it only if you want to...shouldn't matter what we tell you...you're the one that's going to be playing the game
It's pretty old now, but some people do still play online. You might as well get it anyway cuz it can't cost much more than$20-30 now. It's a fun game and I enjoyed it for a long time. It just gets old after a while which shouldn't be too much of a problem because fnr4 isn't too far from release
It has lasted well, though helped largely by so few games that directly compete with it. You will still be able to find people to play online, though my personal experience was that if you are beating the other guy, they have a tendency to quit :(
