I'm looking at getting a fighting game for my 360, and have narrowed my search down to Dead of Alive 4 or Virtua Fighter 5 Online. I am really into Soul Calibur and Marvel vs Capcom 2, as a refrence for other fighting games I've liked in the past.

I'm just wondering what game of the two you guys prefer, and why?

Thanks in advance

I prefer DoA4 I liked the fighting system better, also the online was a lot easier to deal with VF5 wasn't terrible for single player but online is just frustrating to deal wtih no quarter mode hurts it bad.

Well DO4 is a good game, its old but you should still be able to get a match online, the gameplay itself is solid and quite enjoyable and it has a backround story and interesting environments

VF5 is also very good, playing online is a little trouble though, no lobby system, and the search engine is a pain to work with, however gameplay is great, the fighting styles are all very realistic, and are integrated perfectly, unfortunatly there is story to go along with this game, and sometimes it feels very shallow

Soul calibur 4? well thats just gonna be amazing :)

But well have to wait :(

I have both games and I would have to say I prefer the gameplay on Virtua Fighter 5 over DOA 4. It is easier to counter and block. I will admit that I rarely play online due to the lack of a lobby, but it's hard to find someone in DOA 4 other than my buddy Bubble Shield. I would say download the demos for both games if they are available and try 'em out. My feeling is VF5 is the way to go.
