Final Fantasy XIII. Need some questions answering please!?

Hey everyone.

Ok, I've started to play FFXIII and, unlike the others, it's VERY linear.

What I'd like to know is can you explore parts of the world on FFXIII like in all the others as so far all I seem to be doing is watching way too many cut-scenes, switching between characters and always stuck to one path.

I don't really want to play it if it's 4 discs worth of following a single path.

Hey man, I've never played Final Fantasy XIII, but you shouldn't expect a reply 20 mins later. Give it half a day.

Be patient dude. Don't expect a reply 20 minutes after you've posted a question. :) There is open world exploration about 20 hours into the game (I'm playing FF XIII on the PS 3 right now)

there is alot more open world enviornments but you have a while to go if you just started.... dont expect anything till about chap. 11

Well I've just gotten onto the second disc and am with Lightning and Hope at the moment with the bioweapon animals.

Chapter 5/ 6 I believe. Chapter 11 is basically near the end.

This is not a FF if you ask me, rather a lazy game they just threw out to keep up with the market.

It's a shame how linear the game is. =(
