[QUOTE="sixgears2"] [QUOTE="Danold"]I stopped playing gears because I was sick of the lobby wait and the angry/overly agressive community. CoD is pretty much the only mulitplayer game that stays true to everything I look for in an online experience...kozzy1234
I agree with the statement about the overly aggressive community. I'm surprised I haven't seen more threads about this issue. It has gotten to the point that you literally cannot find a game without someone screaming into their mic or talking crazy s*** or just generally being an ass. My friends and I just get into the Party chat (thank God that came out almost alongside Gears 2) so we don't have to hear it. It's weird, I mean you always run into jerks online even though most people are cool, but on Gears it is the exact opposite. The nice people who just want to have fun are in the minority. I recommend either turning your headset all the way down, using private/party chat, or just muting everyone you don't know when you play.
Party chats for the win!!
I dont think Gears2 has a worse community then COD4 or COD:WAW, imo those are the two worst communitys on live. Every time i go on a game for those two there is either 1. LOUD SINGING 2. RACISM 3. LOUD SCREAMING.
Ive rarely got screamers on gears2 yet, but then again i do use the party option alot.
I agree the communities on those two games are horrible, but seriously just as an experiment play a day of Gears 2 without being in Party chat. You can't die without having to listen to the other team talk smack, and then you are subjected to 30 seconds after the match of the same thing (but now with ALL of them talking trash instead of just the few dead ones). Out of all the glitches and whatever, I think Epic's biggest slip was allowing all the dead players to talk to each other, it just leads to way to much screamin and yellin and just general obnoxiousness. But that's just my opinion.
