Finished Bayonetta today. Great game, however....

I didn't like the way items were sold in the game's store. The prices were too high. At the end, I had only bought a few techniques, one accessory, one treasure, and ALT version's of the Durga and one other weapon. I think I'd have to play through the whole game around five times to be able to buy everything.

Anyone have any tips on a quicker way to be able to get better weapons and items?

Equip the Durga to your hands. Buy and equip the items Selene's Gaze and Eyes of Despair. Make sure the Durga is in lightning mode, which is blue. If it is red, rotate the analog stick and press punch, Bayonetta should whirl in a circle and change the Durga to it. Go to Chapter 7 and attack the boss over and over mashing the punch button. If it hits you, witch time will activate automatically. Get up and keep attacking. If he withdraws his hands from the platform you are on, start shooting at him with your guns to keep the combo chain alive, when his hand is back on the platform, resume the punch button spam. You should come out of the fight with about 500k to one million halos.

To be honest, Ive found that only a small number of the items you can buy in the store are really any use.

Also, if you plan on playing through again onthe harder difficultiesyou end up being able to afford almost everything no problemo.

Really great game though

It`s simple, make sure you do everything and break everything, I bought more than half the accessories in one playthrough. And they do contain a purpose, Within a length of 2 chapters 200- 300,000 halos should be collected at least from what I do, idk if combos give you more halos but I know I alwasys have alot.

Keeping the combo chain alive is the key. Remember, taunts keep it going, and taunted enemies yield more points per hit. If you find the enemies have a good distance between them, make sure to hold down the X button to have Bayonetta fire her gun at them as you cross the gap. You can also quickly cross the gap with an technique. I think it was one of the crow techs, when in human form you can press R1 twice quickly and teleport instantly behind an enemy.

I haven't played the game, but the reason could be to encourage multiple playthroughs.
