and I was speechless about it. Now, im debating whether or not to get the Legendary Editoin of Halo 3. I already pre-ordered the Collector's Edition, but now it feels like I want to get the Legendary Edtion. I'm asking the people here who are getting Halo and are fans of it, if your here to post and bash then don't post at all. I don't need to read your senseless "im not getting halo 3, or its overhyped" posts, thank you. For the Halo fans, do you think its worth getting it or should I stick with Collectors?

All it comes with is a helmet... if it was wearable it might've been worth it.

What was the EGM article about that made you consider changing? Is the legendary edition getting some exclusive game content that won't be in the regular one?

Its not getting any exclusive game content, but the fact that the Legendary might be worth getting because it looks so good for it to be passed up.

i'm a whore, so i'm getting it, but at the same time i realize that the legandary edition is not for everyone. so if you consider yourself to be a hardcore fan and a collector of halo and bungie lore, than yes i would get it caus thats who the product is targeted at.

I hope the people that buy these useless special editions realize that they are guinea pigs to the gaming industry.

The price of games didn't go up because of rising developmental costs like we are led to believe, the prices went up because the industry saw how many suckers paid $60 for a $50 game in a shiny case... idiots.

The prices are only going to continue to rise if people are willing to pay an extra $70 for a cheap-ass plastic helmet that costs some slave-master in Indonesia 30 cents to make.

If there's no extra game content, I'll stick with the collector's edition. I think that the extra legendary edition content is cool, but I just can't justify spending that much on a single game.

I agree. the helmet would've made for a great Halloween costume if it was wearable.

Dude its not buing a Gunia Pig. If you feel attached to something, if that something gives you joy every time you re create it, why not expanding that joy? Maybe you don't feel happy of expanding any collection or anything, but there are people out there that fulfill their lifes with this things, and this kind of fulfillment is as good as any other. I love collecting Xbox 360 accesories, I have em all. I love to upgrade my gaming room each time i have a channce, these are things that describe my person adn who I am. Being attached to materialist things does not make me a fool or an idiot, its just the way it is. Many people love "belonging" to a particular futball team, and watching every game makes them happy, and keeps themliving just for the matter that there will be a next time.Hey, there are people that cannot live without sex, many think thats juststupid and inmoral, but if you think about it all that matters is happiness andnothing else, the way you achieve it does not really matter at all.

Im getting the Legendary... and no its not just an unwearable helmet.... It comes with everything that the collectors has plus, story board from the game, all cinematics from Halo 1 and remastered in HD, interactive DVD that details the Halo universe, an improved video/audio colabration tool, a popular Halo flash game, and a crap load of Halo machinema... Plus the Helmet is used as the case... The helmet lifts off its base and the disks are stored inside...

i see no point in getting the legendary edition. The helmet will just be sitting in ur closet gathering dust. All I need is the game, which is a hefty $60 alone.
