Ok so i just bought a 360, the premium one, and i found out that my internet connection only works upstairs where there is no tv. So, ok I thought I would just buy a wireless adapter, but I found out that it costs around a hundred bucks! So im pissed now... i mite get the wireless adapter some other time... but will my free gold membership go away or do i get it the first time i connect to the internet on my 360? I have not connected any of my profiles to the internet yet.

50 ft ethernet cable works wonders. In order to get xbox live well of course you have to be able to connect to xbox live first. Your free month never expires just when you sign for silver they will ask you if you want a free month. I noticed you said you have not connected any of your profiles to the Internet and just wanted to give you a heads up, you are going to have to make a new profile just for xbox live so all the achievements on your current offline profile will not show up on your live profile.
