In the past 7 years, according to statistics of course, there has a been a dramatic increase in the purchase of Shooting Genre games. However, they were mostly bought on PC. No good shooting game could come out for the consoles aside from two legendary titles on the N64 (007 and Perfect Dark) Until a game that was only meant to teem the masses was created and it was called Halo. Halo proved to the industry that shooters could be done right on the consoles, thus the sudden increase. Third person shooters became popular as well while top down was only used in specific titles.

My question to you is, which is more entertaining, First person, third person, or top down?

Mostof my favorite games are 3rd person...

RE4
OoT
Shadow of the Colossus
Silent Hill 2
Prince of Persia Sands of Time
Mass Effect

Though FPS have had some incredible titles I feel more attached, drawn in and immersedinto athird person game.

I've always loved old school games like Ikaruga and Mars Matrix, and of course the classic Galaga, so there's a soft spot in my heart for shumps.

Third Person Shooters for me, although I enjoy FPS's they seem to lack depth considering you only see your character in Cutscenes.. But thats why I think every game should have the option to be an FPS or a TPS, make our lives easier.

Definently First person. I mostly play multiplayer, and with third person, you can see people comming behind you, which doesn't make sense. First person makes the game more realistic, and I find it gives you better control.
