FIRST REVIEWS: Fable 2/Fallout 3

OXM on Fable 2: 9.5 ; Fable II is everything Molyneux promised the first time around. It's funny, deep, emotional, epic, and, yes, wildly charming. We are already eager for a second playthrough, and we're betting a lot of you will have exactly the same reaction.

OXM on Fallout 3: 10 ; Games this captivating do not come along often. Between its engrossing story, ginormous world, well-crafted RPG side, and white-knuckle FPS combat, Fallout 3 completely, utterly gives you your $60 worth.

both great games. you rly cant lose whichever you pick.

OXM: 9; Far Cry 2 is this year's equivalent of Assassin's Creed... when it comes to enveloping the player in exotic sights and sounds, Ubisoft has absolutely nailed it.

Xbox World 360 Magazine UK: 8.7; Far Cry 2 is a resounding success. It looks incredible, and the attention to detail is staggering. All it really needed was the added spart and thrill of a really, really good shooter underneath it all. But if you can live with the game's start/stop gunplay you're going to have some real fun playing with fire.

I'll be getting both anyway, Fable first, save a little bit of money, then get Fallout 3. Been looking forward to both for a while.

No game deserves a 10 though.

Well, now I'm at peace knowing my two pre-orders are worth it.

Thank you for the Farcry review though, I was going to get Left 4 Dead over Farcry 2 for sure but now the decision has gotten a whole lot harder....

yup haha, same dilemma for me. I've decided to get Fable 2 over Fallout 3, but i can't afford to get GoW2, FarCry2, and Left4Dead all within 2 weeks... and GoW2 for me is a must buy so its between Far Cry 2 and Left4Dead... ill wait for more reviews for each

Hmmm they didn't review FC2 in the OXM, o well new FC2 would be good.

That is how I have been feeling, I think its the memory of the first Fable and how it was over promised and under delivered.

Apparantly the second is more of the same, hopefully it will be better, though.
