What difficulty are you on? Try starting off slow by playing on the lowest difficulty just to learn how to play the game then gradually work your way up. I tend to do this in all of my games. Also there's a custom difficulty to better suite your skills and make a challenging experience.
I didn't even change the difficulty settings. So I guess it's at the lowest now, right? What difficulty are you on? Well if you pull the right or left trigger when you pick your jersey before every game you can change the difficulty. I suggest playing on the lowest and finding your strengths and weaknesses then use custom to work them out. Develop strategies now and eventually you can bring them online. I myself am not a good madden player, but still enjoy the game and I hope you will too.
everyone is like this when they first play a video game that they've never played before. It just takes time. I remember trying to get the hang of an FPS on a controller and the controlls just became second nature within a few weeks of playing. Just try to remember some of the button commands for now and then learn all the fancy stuff as your skill progresses.
i have a 360 that i recently got and the only sports game is have is madden 10 but i do have alot of fps and rpg games. I have been having troble learning the controlls to madden 10 too, i think that it is because i am used to playing fps games that have pretty basic controls.
can i ask what other types of games you used to play on another system? if it was shooter or rpg games then it is probably just you needing to get used to the different game style that ocmes with a sports game.
