For those who have yet to buy an Xbox 360 and don't want the slimmer version

Amazon is selling the arcades for $150 + 2 old games, and the elite holiday 2010 bundle for $250 with two new games.

dunno whether this is gonna be locked or not, but i thought i'd share this with you.

why wouldn't anyone want the slimmed down version in the first place? :)

Yeah good find, I'll probably be picking up a Super Elite or PS3 slim (if they drop the price in the UK) next month. I'd hoped the new slim would have been cheaper but oh well.

I decided I couldn't wait for the price drop. So I ended up buying a limited edition resident evil xbox 360 on ebay last week. it should be coming this week.

sounds great and I will buy many older 360s as presents for nephews etc. but for me I want the new one, I use a bridge from my laptop for the current one and I only have a 20gb hdd so this would be great all around.

how do you know they wont have RROD as well, there is no way to know that until people have had a chance to test them properly

Why would anyone NOT want to get the new slimmer version? Practically every aspect of it is an upgrade from a previous model. To me the best part about it is that it supposedly is quieter.
